On 14 February, Michael Gove, MP for Surrey Heath, visited the team at the new-look Camberley Post Office following its extensive refurbishment.
Camberley Post Office at Princes Way, Camberley, has been refurbished as part of the massive investment programme across the network, which is making it easier for customers to do business, in brighter, more modern Post Office branches. Mr Gove hailed the refurbishment as a “boost” for people in the area.
He said: “Camberley Post Office is a vital service for the community and it’s fantastic to see the transformation that this investment in the branch has brought. It is a boost for people in Camberley.
“I’m very pleased to be able to visit the team here and I know that customers will appreciate the efforts that have been put in by everyone involved.”
Customers are also being served in a more modern retail environment since Camberley Post Office was refurbished. The branch now boasts new counters, a private room for consultations on financial services, and a dedicated mails acceptance point was introduced. Further enhancements include the introduction of new self-service kiosks and a special welcome point at the entrance.
Branch Manager Simon Phillips said: “The branch looks fantastic and hopefully it means we can engage more with customers and talk more about what they need from us, discussing our products and services.
“We have a new consultation room, where customers can discuss our financial services products with a trained advisor. Our financial services now include the complete mortgage range as well as a complete portfolio of savings and insurance products. We’re a well-known and trustworthy brand that’s been running for 370 years, and we are now a real alternative to the established high-street banks."
