On 21 June, Sunrise Senior Living in Bagshot took part in the National Care Home Open Day. The day featured two competitions: a poster competition for local schools and a visual arts contest for over-18s. The challenge was to explore the theme 'What Does Care Mean To You?'
Michael Gove, MP for Surrey Heath, was invited to judge the competitions and to present the winners from each competition with a Derwent Artists Pencil 120 Wooden Box Set worth over £100.
Michael said:
“Sunrise in Bagshot is a wonderful care home with dedicated staff. I was very honoured to have been asked to judge the competitions, and to have had to opportunity to meet with and chat with some of the residents and staff.”
