After Michael’s visit to Bagshot Library on 3 May, he walked with local County Councillor Richard Tear to the London Road to discuss concerns about speeding traffic.
Michael understands that despite the reduction of the speed limit to 30mph, regular police patrols and speed enforcement operations by the Vanguard Road Safety Team, residents report that cars and HGVs are still speeding up and down the hill.
Michael has contacted the Borough Commander about the speeding issues and the possibility of installing a permanent speed camera to help discourage speeding.
Michael commented:
“I am pleased to report that my request has now been passed to the Safer Camera Partnership, and I hope to hear positive news soon on this. I will provide a further update in due course.”
