Last week, Michael Gove, MP for Surrey Heath, wrote to all primary schools in Surrey Heath to invite submissions for his 2023 Christmas Card Competition.
The competition is open to all primary schools in the Surrey Heath constituency, and there are two groups in the competition. A prize will be awarded to each group winner: Group 1 is for pupils in Reception - Year 2 and Group 2 is for pupils from Year 3 - Year 6.
Michael has asked the schools to select a shortlist of three entries from each group, where appropriate, featuring their pupils’ finest Christmas card artwork.
The deadline for submitting entries is Wednesday 22 November, and a judge will view all entries and choose a winner from each group, and their schools will be notified thereafter.
Michael hopes to present the two winning pupils with their prizes at their schools in December, and will have their winning designs printed for his Christmas cards.
Michael said:
“I hugely enjoy holding my Christmas Card competitions. It is always a great delight to see the amazing designs from talented pupils across Surrey Heath, and I am really looking forward to receiving the entries to this year’s competition.”
