Last Friday, Michael Gove, Member of Parliament for Surrey Heath, joined the Old Dean Community Leaders for Lunch at St Martin’s Church in Camberley. The Lunch was attended by local councillors, and representatives from many local charities that offer help and support to some of the most vulnerable in our society.
Michael gave a short speech about his job as Surrey Heath MP, describing his role as an advocate, a bridge-builder, and a champion for his constituents, which was then followed by a Question & Answer session. Michael answered a number of questions on a range of topics, including Universal Credit, the state of our roads, and the protection of bees.
Michael said:
‘It was a huge pleasure to join the Lunch at St Martin’s Church, and I was delighted to have the opportunity to answer so many questions from constituents, and from those who do so much to help them.’
